About the Role

Join our dedicated and hard-working team and help maintain our facilities, while providing a suitable environment for our tūroro (patients) and whānau (families).

You will be part of a small fast paced team that plays an essential part of maintaining Te Nīkau, Grey Hospital and Health Centre. The team provides exceptional cleaning services 365 days a year.

Starting Salary from $23.75 per hour, Based on the Etū Multi-Employer Collective Agreement

You will be responsible for:

  • Completing all cleaning tasks to international healthcare standards throughout the hospital in areas such as patient rooms, public areas & lavatories.
  • Ensuring daily schedules and tasks are completed within set timeframes
  • Operating and maintaining equipment safely around tūroro (patients) and whānau (families).
  • Handling cleaning solutions in accordance with safety protocols

 About you

We are looking for a reliable, hardworking and flexible candidate who can bring their passion for cleaning to our facility. This role will suit a candidate that is looking to help make the hospital and hygienic and safe space for our tūroro (patients) and whānau (families).

  • Full drivers license is essential
  • Excellent communication skills, customer service and time management skills
  • High level of Patient confidentiality
  • Ability to work independently and be self-motivated,
  • Excellent attention to detail,
  • Ability to follow Health and Safety procedures,
  • Experience as a cleaner, particularly within health is preferred but not essential.
