Support Worker | Hokitika

- Permanent part time working 32 hours per fortnight (see below for shifts available)

About the Role:
As a Support Worker, you will play a key role in helping clients maintain their independence, dignity, and wellbeing. You will work under the direction of a Registered Health Professional, delivering high-quality care and support in a safe and culturally respectful manner.
Shifts available per fortnight
- Mon//Wed/Fri/Mon/Wed - 8am to 12pm or 10am to 2pm
- Tuesdays and alternate Sundays 4pm to 8pm
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Coordinator and Nurse to monitor and report changes in client wellbeing
- Liaise with the Coordinator on rostering, availability, training, and cover
- Deliver services that uphold the mana and dignity of each client
- Encourage participation in Activities of Daily Living to maximise independence
- Adhere to care plans, policies, and procedures
- Use technology to support communication and service delivery
- Participate in ongoing training and development
About you
- A commitment to providing culturally safe, person-centred care
- Willingness to work towards Level 2 NZ Certificate in Health & Wellbeing (if not already held), and to progress to Level 3 and 4 as appropriate with support
- A current full driver’s licence
- Confidence in using Microsoft applications and mobile apps
Preferred Experience:
- Previous experience as a caregiver in the community, hospital, or aged care setting is desirable
