What you’ll do with your time

We are recruiting Rural Hospital House Officers who will be based throughout our wards here on the West Coast.

You will rotate though our Medical and Surgical wards, Older Persons Mental Health, ATR/Paeds and other relief runs.

About the role:

  • Work in complex departments
  • Exposure to varied clinical presentations
  • Excellent training, support and supervision
  • Positions commence mid 2020

We have vacancies based in Greymouth now and available throughout the year! This is an excellent opportunity to gain rural hospital experience based in the beautiful West Coast of the South Island of New Zealand.


  • At least three years (PGY3+) of post-graduate experience
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced, complex environment
  • Eligibility for general or provisional general registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand. You can check your eligibility by visiting the Council’s website at
