Mō te tūnga | About the role

Our Home and Community Support Service – Coasters, is looking for Registered Nurses with practice experience in older person’s health.

  • 1x RN based in Westport covering the Northern region for Te Whatu Ora - Te Tai o Poutini on a full-time permanent basis.
  • 1x RN based in Greymouth covering the Central region on a part-time fixed term covering parental leave (0.8FTE).

Our service is developing the way we support older persons in the community to fit more closely with a restorative and lifespan model, so this could be an excellent role for a registered nurse wanting to broaden their practice experience and knowledge.

Applicants should hold a current APC, have knowledge of health conditions that affect older persons, experience in clinical assessment, developing support plans and care models in older person’s health. Experience in the use of InterRAI or a willingness to train in its use is essential.
