About the Role

We are looking for a physiotherapist to join our small team of experienced and friendly multidisciplinary professionals. This role would be ideal for a new graduate or someone who is looking for a change of scope or change in lifestyle.

In this role you will be part of an experienced and friendly team based in Greymouth. You will have the opportunity to further your experience working across a range of specialties and advance your practical skills with a rural generalist approach. There may also be opportunities to travel to other locations throughout the West Coast.

You will be required to contribute to occasional weekend work, mostly Saturdays.

About Us

The Te Tai o Poutini West Coast Physiotherapy Team supports the community throughout the West Coast (Karamea to Haast), covering all aspects of inpatients, outpatients, and community settings. The rotational role has opportunities for learning across inpatients medical/ surgical/ rehabilitation, outpatients musculoskeletal, and community care.

You will be supported with clinical supervision, mentoring and professional support. We also offer an interdisciplinary Allied Health new-graduate programme.

About you

You will be a New Zealand Registered Physiotherapist with a current Annual Practising Certificate (or close to gaining this). A current New Zealand Driver’s Licence is essential. Success in this role will also include:

  • A passion for rural health or a willingness to learn
  • The ability to be flexible and adaptable to manage a varying caseload
  • Ability to build warm, effective relationships with patients, whānau and colleagues
  • Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team and inter-professional setting
  • Cultural competence and the ability to work respectfully with Māori patients, whānau and staff
