About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity to join the team as a permanent Safe Staffing - CCDM Nurse Coordinator. The Care Capacity Demand Coordinator provides onsite coordination of people and processes to achieve implementation of the CCDM programme. In this role, you will focus on sequencing activities to ensure programme delivery is effective and efficient. Ensuring project communications are timely and meet the agreed work plan timelines whilst facilitating the scheduling, feedback, and reporting. You will work closely with the partners to coordinate the programme components and inter-dependencies. This role works collaboratively with the Nurse Manager Safe Staffing Care Capacity Demand to highlight potential risks and navigate arising issues. 

About the Service

The Care Capacity Demand Management (CCDM) programme is about better matching staff resources to patient demand so we can improve patient care, make the best use of resources and provide a better work environment for our staff at the front line. The five CCDM standards cover patient acuity, core data set, staffing methodology such as FTE and skill mix, variance response (forecasting and responding to demand), and governance and programme monitoring. 

About you

We are seeking an experienced nurse or midwife who is dynamic and motivated with proven ability to communicate effectively and form positive working relationships at all levels.

  • At least five years post graduate experience within a clinical area or relevant senior nursing or midwifery role
  • Quality improvement/change management knowledge or experience
  • Vision and flexibility to contribute to and accommodate change
  • Solution focused, adaptable, self-motivated with the ability to think on your feet
  • Excellent team player with the ability to work across all disciplines.
  • Knowledge of safe staffing /CCDM programme
  • Registered with the Nursing or Midwifery Council of New Zealand with a current Annual Practising Certificate (APC)
