Medical Imaging Technologist
- Permanent part time role (14 hours per week), based at Te Nikau Hospital
- Hours of work are between 8am and 4:30pm Monday - Friday
- Current registration with MRTB and APC essential

About the Role

Our service works Monday to Friday 8am -6pm with on call there after covering a 24/7 radiology service. This role only supplements on call when necessary, due to gaps in the roster.
Our team provides a diagnostic radiology service including:General Radiography and CT Scanning. Our team also sometimes travels to Westport to provide general x-ray cover when the MIT there is on leave.
On site weekly are Sonographers from PRG and also Radiologists who supplement our service as contractors. The Greymouth team consists of 4 full time MIT's, 3 part time MITs and 1 full-time Team leader plus 2 admin staff and an assistant.
MIT's in this role will also help with admin and other tasks to help manage the services bookings and special procedures.
About You
You are a motivated and professional Medical Imaging Technologist who is committed to delivering high‑quality patient care and working effectively within a team environment. To be successful in this role you will be able to demonstrate the following:
- Current registration with the Medical Radiation Technologists Board (MRTB) and an Annual Practicing Certificate
- Demonstrated ability to maintain patient confidentiality and professional standards
- Ability to work cooperatively and efficiently as part of a multidisciplinary team
- A high level of initiative with the ability to work independently when required
- Well‑developed interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage comfortably with people from all social backgrounds, cultures, and abilities
- Prior experience is advantageous
