Medical Imaging Technologist
- Part time Permanent 0.4FTE, 13.5 hours per week (based on 35 hour contract)
- Primarily located at Buller

About the Role
Our Buller X-ray service works Tuesday to Friday 10am - 3pm, with a 30 minute lunch break. The service provides diagnostic general radiography. This role is primarily based at Buller with some travel to Greymouth, as and when required.
Whist in Greymouth undertaking CT scanning may be required as well as general radiography.
MITs in this role will help with admin and other tasks to help manage the services bookings. In this role you will be responsible for:
- Perform imaging tasks (X-ray, CT (Grey), etc.)
- Prepare patients for X-ray exams
- Ensure accurate patient records
- Assist with clerical tasks.
- Follow radiation protection and patient care protocols.
- On call is currently covered by RNs but participation in the on-call roster may occur in the future.
- Engage in quality assurance activities
- Work independently and make protocol-based decisions
About You
We are seeking an experienced Medical Imaging Technologist to join our team in this permanent opportunity. To be successful in this role you will demonstrate:

- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Commitment to self development and growth
- Experience in CT scanning is desirable
- Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth
- Registered with MRTB and current APC essential
