Are you a highly organised administrator with a passion for improving rural health outcomes? Join our dedicated Workforce Development Team and play a key role in growing and supporting a sustainable, skilled rural health workforce across Te Tai o Poutini.
We’re looking for a proactive and skilled Team Administrator (Workforce) to help drive a wide range of programmes and projects aimed at developing our future health workforce. From coordinating student placements to supporting training programmes and promoting learning opportunities, this varied and rewarding role will directly contribute to the health and wellbeing of our West Coast communities.

About the role
In this role, you’ll be part of a collaborative team and work alongside the Nurse Director (Workforce) to:
- Coordinate and support workforce pipeline activities such as school visits, and student placements
- Support the administration and reporting of undergraduate and postgraduate training programmes
- Provide project coordination for new workforce initiatives and innovations
- Organise and support professional development activities, including maintaining the education calendar
- Assist with locality research processes and approval pathways
- Offer high-level administrative support to the Workforce Development Team
- Oversee day-to-day workspace operations including supplies, bookings, and health & safety
About You
Essential:
- Minimum of 1 year in a senior administration role
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong organisational, time management, and project coordination abilities
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Commitment to cultural competency training and equity
Desirable:
- NZ Certificate in Business (Administration & Technology) Level 4 (or working toward)
- Experience in New Zealand’s health sector or public service environment
- Knowledge of learning design, programme delivery, or the Kirkpatrick evaluation model
- Budgeting, data reporting, and document management experience
